DE-tector flex
The new DE-tector™ flex system for the detection and identification of traces of explosives and narcotics is developed and manufactured by BRUKER.
The DE-tector™ flex utilises proven IMS technology, incorporating a single HEPI photoionisation source, for the detection of traces of explosives and/or narcotics across a wide range of substances. This non-radioactive technology allows it to be operated without any specific regulatory restrictions.
- Compact explosive and narcotic detector
- Non-radioactive photoionising source
- Can be used with a Li-Ion battery
- Low false alarm rate
- Network architecture
How it works
The reusable sampling traps feature a Teflon® polymer surface that optimises the collection of trace particles deposited on all types of objects and individuals being tested. Replacing the dopants and desiccants once a year ensures that the DE-tector™ flex has low running costs.
The intuitive software, accessible via the colour touchscreen interface, makes it easy to read analysis results via pictograms
and to view activity logs locally. The networking option and the ability to interconnect DE-tector™ units allow for the centralisation of operational and configuration data.
The integrated printer and battery pack make the DE-tector™ flex a stand-alone tool for detecting illicit substances.
