VISIOM, partner for security installations at Istres Air Base 125

After 18 months of work, VISIOM has just delivered the passenger screening systems, as well as the hand luggage and hold baggage screening systems, for the 125th Air Base in Istres (Bouches-du-Rhône).

“We are proud to be the partner for all security installations at Istres Air Base (BA 125). Our commitment extends far beyond the delivery and installation of the security solutions we provide. It is a long-term commitment encompassing all the services required to maintain the performance of the equipment and support its future development” said Stéphane Wattez, Sales Director at VISIOM.

This equipment forms part of the construction project for the ‘Armed Forces Hub’ terminal, which was inaugurated in mid-May by Air Force General Stéphane Mille, Chief of Staff of the Air and Space Force (CEMAAE), and the Minister for the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu. Described by the government as “the centrepiece of a comprehensive set of airport facilities making the base the new centralised departure and return point for overseas operations”, the facility – nicknamed the “Roissy of the Armed Forces” – will be able to handle 100,000 passengers a year.
