Denis’ testimonial: Project Department Manager | 20 years in the company
Your first steps?
After working for 10 years in a multinational, I joined VISIOM in September 2001 as Project Manager in the Technical Department; at the time, there was intense pressure in the aviation and security sector following the terrorist attacks which had struck the very heart of the United States.
I was quickly involved in the airport projects boosted by the government ruling to screen all hold baggage.
At first, I was surprised by the working habits in an SME: the employees are free to perform their jobs, while ensuring permanent communication and agility throughout the company.
This is how, together, we find innovating solutions to satisfy our customers.
Your professional development and expectations?
Increasingly involved in invitations to tender, an opportunity arose to join the Sales Department to merge our sales and technical skills to boost our actions while producing innovating offers and becoming more successful.
By sharing skills within the team and by going on training courses, I obtained a more global and cross-functional vision of the projects; I was able to take part in new challenges such as major export projects in Tunisia and Morocco.
VISIOM then appointed me to a managerial position, as Project Department Manager, where I managed a team and represented my functions within the Executive Committee.
The Board is always benevolent and the managers have been particularly friendly and human throughout my career and my development within the company.
Your final comment?
VISIOM is an SME made for those who want to change things, with the pleasure of working every day in versatile and motivated teams.
