The Guide™ portable handheld metal detector is developed and manufactured by GARRETT.

For nearly 40 years, the SuperScanner has been the world’s most widely used and most reliable portable security detector.
Today, the Guide™ builds on everything that made its predecessor the global standard and incorporates the latest technological advancements.

How it works

From schools and stadiums to courthouses and casinos, the Guide™ delivers the robust performance you expect. Its new, streamlined design makes it a sophisticated and easy-to-use tool.

Lightweight and comfortable to hold, its large control surface reduces the operator’s response time.

Fully autonomous, the Guide™ is powered by a rechargeable 3.8V lithium-ion battery. The device’s battery life under normal operating conditions is approximately 125 hours (with a low-battery indicator).

Used alone or in conjunction with the Paragon, PD6500i, or MZ6100 walk-through detectors, the Guide™ allows you to discriminate between different types of metal for fast and efficient screening.
