SafeView

SafeView’s patented detection system is based on the transmission and reception of millimetre-wave signals. It detects metal objects, ceramics, explosives and any other organic material that may pose a threat.

A person passing through the scanner reflects the radio waves emitted by the SafeView. Unlike X-ray technology, the power of these non-ionising signals is hundreds of times lower than that of equivalent signals emitted by mobile phones.
In manual mode, the analysis of the reflected millimetre waves using complex algorithms produces a dynamic, three-dimensional holographic image of individuals and any objects they are carrying on their person. The exceptionally high-quality image thus produced enables the operator to carry out a rapid and reliable assessment of any potential threat posed by the person being screened.

OPERATING MODES

Manual mode: The SafeView walk-through produces a holographic image of the person. This image is analysed by an operator, who reports the results of their analysis.

Semi-automatic mode: The SafeView walk-through scanner produces a holographic image of the person. This image provides the operator with decision-making support. The operator confirms any suspicious areas. A gender-neutral silhouette is presented to the pat-down operator to resolve any doubts.

Automatic mode: The SafeView walk-through scanner does not produce an image of the person. Only a gender-neutral silhouette, showing any suspicious areas, is displayed to the screening officer for further assessment.
